2026 World Cup

The 2026 Openfront World Cup is the biggest tournament of the year 2026, bringing the best of Openfront on a World Cup style format of Trios.

• Group Stage - May 16th & 17th, 2026
  • 4 trio matches played using a match-point system in pools of 4, 6 pools in total
  • Teams earn points based on their maximum land size reached during each match
• Point Distribution (per match)
  • • 1st: 5 points
    • 2nd: 3 points
    • 3rd: 1 point
    • 4th: 0 points

• • Top two teams of each group advance to the 2026 Openfront Spring Major. The 4 best 3rd place teams also advance
• Scoring Method
  • At the end of each match, referees record the largest territory size each team reached at any moment during the game
  • Teams are ranked using this maximum land value, and points are awarded accordingly
• Tie-Breaker Rule
  • In case of equal points, they are decided by overall wins or domination over the other team they are tied with.

• Unique Pattern – awarded to all teams that advanced the group stage
• In-Game currency - Caps for group stage, Plutonium for Finals
• Clan Store - for winning clan
• Custom Nation Flag - for Finalists

• The following is awarded to the winners of the event in addition to the previous items:
  • Unique Bomb Pattern
  • Custom 1/1 skins
